Booking Policy

Effective date: 19 May 2026

This Booking Policy sets out how bookings are made, confirmed, and paid for across all Nomichi trips and services. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cancellation Policy. By placing a booking with Nomichi Explorers Private Limited(“Nomichi”), you agree to the rules set out below.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to all bookings made directly or indirectly through Nomichi, including:

  • Group Trips, which include Community Trips and Nomichi Exclusive trips operating on fixed batch dates
  • Private Curated Trips, which are custom journeys built for individuals, couples, families, or private groups
  • Any add-on services, optional activities, or upgrades booked through Nomichi

2. How to Book

  • Submit an enquiry through our website, WhatsApp, email, or social media. Our team will share a detailed Itinerary and final quotation.
  • Review the Itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, pricing, and applicable taxes carefully.
  • Confirm your booking by paying the applicable booking amount (see Section 3 or Section 4 below).
  • Share the required Traveller details and identification documents within the timelines requested.
  • You will receive a written Confirmation from Nomichi by email or WhatsApp once the booking amount is received. The Confirmation is the official record of your booking.

3. Group Trips

Group Trips (Community Trips and Nomichi Exclusive) vary in duration, destination, and operating cost. The booking amount and payment timelines for each trip are published on the trip Itinerary and confirmed in your booking quotation. The general framework below applies to all Group Trips:

Booking amountThe per-person, non-refundable booking amount is stated on the trip Itinerary and in your booking quotation. It varies by trip duration, destination, and inclusions, and typically ranges from INR 2,500 to INR 12,000. Your seat is secured once this amount is received.
Balance paymentThe balance is due on or before the cut-off date stated on your trip Itinerary and Confirmation. Cut-offs typically range from 2 to 15 days before the trip start date for domestic trips, and from 30 days for international trips.
Early bird offersWhere an early bird offer is availed, full payment is required at the time of booking to lock the offer.
Bookings close to departureFor bookings made within the full-payment window stated on the trip Itinerary, 100% of the Trip Cost is payable at the time of booking.
Failure to pay by due dateBooking will be cancelled automatically and the booking amount stands forfeited. Standard cancellation charges will apply as per the Cancellation Policy.
Minimum batch sizeMost Group Trips require a minimum number of travellers to operate (typically 8, unless otherwise specified on the Itinerary). If the minimum is not met, Nomichi will offer rescheduling, transfer to another trip, or a full refund.

3.1 Domestic Group Trips

For Group Trips operated within India, the booking amount, balance payment date, and full-payment window are stated on each trip Itinerary. Most domestic Group Trips fall into one of two patterns: short weekend trips with a smaller booking amount and a 5 to 7 day balance cut-off, and longer destination trips with a higher booking amount and a 15 day balance cut-off. The Itinerary for your specific trip will state the exact figures.

3.2 International Group Trips

For Group Trips operated outside India, the booking amount, balance payment date, and full-payment window are stated on each trip Itinerary. International Group Trips typically require a higher booking amount, a longer balance cut-off (often 30 days or more before departure to lock in airfare and visa processing), and full payment for bookings made within 60 days of departure. Visa documentation timelines and the Visa Rejection clause of the Cancellation Policy apply.

In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the specific terms stated on a trip Itinerary, the terms on that Itinerary will prevail for that booking.

4. Private Curated Trips

For Private Curated Trips, the payment schedule depends on whether the trip is Domestic (within India) or International (outside India). In both cases, 25% of the total Trip Cost is treated as the non-refundable booking advance.

4.1 Domestic Private Curated Trips

4.2 International Private Curated Trips

Price validity and forexAll quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue, or until a price change by any Principal Service Provider, whichever is earlier. Final pricing is locked only upon receipt of the booking confirmation amount. Any subsequent change in airfare, visa fees, hotel rates, taxes, or foreign exchange rates may be passed on to the Traveller.

The longer cut-offs for International Private Curated Trips reflect the lead times required to lock in airfare, secure visa appointments, and confirm overseas accommodation. The Visa Rejection clause of the Cancellation Policy applies.

5. Pricing, Taxes, and Currency

  • All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated.
  • Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applicable on all trips and is added to the Trip Cost.
  • Tax Collected at Source (TCS) applies to international trips as per the Income Tax Act, 1961. TCS is charged in addition to the Trip Cost and is fully claimable at the time of Income Tax Return filing.
  • Quoted prices are subject to availability at the time of booking. Any increase in airfare, hotel rates, fuel prices, taxes, permits, or government levies between the date of quotation and the date of travel shall be borne by the Traveller.
  • Foreign exchange fluctuations on international components (if priced in foreign currency at the time of operation) may be passed on to the Traveller and notified before final invoicing.

6. Payment Modes

Payments may be made via the following modes, unless restricted by applicable law:

  • Bank Transfer (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS)
  • UPI
  • Debit card or credit card
  • Approved payment gateway links shared by Nomichi

7. Documentation Required

  • Government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar, PAN, or passport)
  • Recent passport-size photograph, where required for permits, hotels, or activities
  • Valid passport (with at least 6 months’ validity from the date of return) and visa for international trips
  • Inner Line Permits or Protected Area Permits, where applicable for domestic destinations such as Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Lakshadweep, and others
  • Emergency contact details, allergies, and medical disclosures

Failure to share the requested documents within the stated timelines may result in cancellation of the booking, with standard cancellation charges applying.

8. Modifications by the Traveller

  • Requests for changes to the date of travel, batch, destination, room category, or number of travellers must be made in writing (email or WhatsApp) at the earliest.
  • Modifications are subject to availability and may attract revised pricing and difference in costs, including penalties charged by Principal Service Providers.
  • A date change, batch change, or trip transfer made after the booking is confirmed shall be treated as a cancellation and rebooking, and the applicable Cancellation Policy charges will apply.

9. Modifications and Substitutions by Nomichi

Nomichi reserves the right to make changes to the Itinerary, accommodation, transport, or sequence of activities where required due to availability, weather, operational, safety, or regulatory reasons, while retaining the overall character of the trip. Where a substitution is materially different, Nomichi will inform you in advance and offer reasonable alternatives.

10. Confirmation, Vouchers, and Travel Documents

  • You will receive a Confirmation, an Itinerary, and any applicable vouchers or e-tickets within a reasonable time after full payment.
  • You must check all names, dates, and details on the documents immediately on receipt and report any errors within 24 hours. Corrections may attract reissue charges levied by the relevant Principal Service Provider.

11. Failure to Pay

If full payment is not received within the stipulated due date, Nomichi reserves the right to cancel the booking without further notice. In such a case, the amount paid until that date shall be subject to the Cancellation Policy, and any shortfall may be recovered from the Traveller.

12. Refunds for Overpayment

Where a Traveller has paid an amount in excess of what is due, the excess will be refunded to the original mode of payment within 7 to 14 working days from the date of confirmation of the overpayment.

13. Acceptance

By making any booking with Nomichi and paying the applicable booking amount, the Traveller acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted this Booking Policy, the Terms and Conditions, the Cancellation Policy, and the Privacy Policy, and agrees to be bound by them.
